SL800 Production Line Installed in Central Asia — Water Supply Network Expansion
Project Context
A regional Ministry of Water Resources undertook an ambitious urban water supply modernization program. The initiative required producing large-diameter corrugated HDPE drainage and supply pipe on a national scale.
A local contractor was awarded a major supply contract to furnish 50,000+ linear meters of 600–800mm corrugated pipe annually, replacing aging asbestos infrastructure.
Why the SL800
The contractor's engineers specified an SL800 after evaluating equipment from five manufacturers. Key requirements:
- Capacity for 800mm outer diameter pipe
- Output of 600+ m/shift
- Ability to work with reinforced HDPE formulations
- Post-production coil-winding capability
- 24-month lead time acceptable
The SL800's proven track record in the Middle East and its integrated unwinding system made it the clear choice.
The Order
Contract awarded October 2023. Total project cost: €280,000 including installation, training, and one year of on-site technical support. Delivery scheduled for Q2 2024.
Delivery & Installation
Suba shipped the SL800 in two containers, arriving on-site in May 2024. Assembly took 4 weeks, with Suba's senior technicians on-site throughout. The contractor's team completed a 3-week operator certification program in April 2024.
Results
The machine went into production in June 2024 and achieved full capacity by August. Current performance:
