SL600 Lines Operating at Two Regional Production Facilities — Municipal Drainage and Sewage
Project Context
A regional municipal modernization program aimed to replace aging asbestos and cast iron drainage infrastructure with modern corrugated HDPE pipe. Two regional contractors independently identified the need for dedicated production capacity to serve municipal authorities.
Both manufacturers selected corrugated HDPE as the material of choice due to superior durability in cold climates and lower long-term maintenance costs compared to concrete and metal alternatives.
Why the SL600
Both contractors evaluated several production systems and converged on the SL600 for:
- Proven reliability in continental and cold climates
- Capacity for 1,200+ m/shift
- Availability of spare parts and regional technical support
- Competitive capital investment (~€175,000–€195,000 per unit)
- Flexibility to produce 300–600mm diameter pipe
Facility A Installation
The first contractor signed their contract in Q1 2023 and received their SL600 in Q3 2023. The machine has been in production since November 2023.
The second contractor signed in Q2 2023 and received their unit in Q4 2023, beginning production in February 2024.
