Project Context
An Eastern European country's water authority embarked on a major flood control infrastructure modernization following severe flooding events. The project required producing ultra-large-diameter corrugated HDPE pipe (1200–1600mm) for major drainage culverts and river protection systems.
A regional engineering contractor secured a 10-year supply contract to furnish all corrugated pipe for the national flood control program, estimated at 200,000+ linear meters.
Why the SL1600
The SL1600 is one of Suba's largest standard configurations. The contractor selected it because:

Delivery & Installation
Suba manufactured the SL1600 with additional structural reinforcement for the large-diameter application. Shipment via specialized heavy-goods transport in three containers arrived in Q2 2024. On-site assembly took 8 weeks, with continuous Suba supervision.
The contractor's team completed a 4-week technical program covering setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance protocols.
